About Me

A supportive space to talk, reflect, and begin to feel more like yourself

If you’re here, you may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, or unsure how to make sense of what’s happening in your life. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step — especially if you’re used to coping on your own or putting others first.

My role is to offer you a calm, confidential space where you can talk openly and be met with understanding, not judgement.

Who I Work With

I work with adults who may be experiencing:

  • Anxiety and constant overthinking

  • Low mood or emotional exhaustion

  • Low self-esteem or self-criticism

  • Stress, burnout, or feeling overwhelmed

  • Relationship difficulties

  • A sense of feeling stuck, lost, or disconnected

People often come to therapy wanting relief, clarity, or simply a place where they don’t have to hold everything together. Whatever brings you here, we can take the time to explore it together.

About me as a therapist

I’m Carey Webb, a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, offering private counselling in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, as well as online therapy across the UK.

I understand that choosing a therapist is a personal decision. It’s important that you feel comfortable, safe, and able to be yourself. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel supported, respected, and free to explore whatever feels important to you.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in line with their ethical framework, placing your wellbeing, confidentiality, and autonomy at the heart of my work.

What sessions are like

Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place once a week, although this can be adjusted to suit your needs. I offer:

  • Face-to-face counselling in Leigh-on-Sea

  • Online counselling via secure video

  • Telephone counselling

Therapy is your space. You’re always welcome to ask questions, reflect on how things are going, or raise any concerns as we work together.

Taking the first step

If you’re wondering whether therapy might help, you’re welcome to get in touch for a free introductory conversation. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, share a little about what’s going on for you, and see whether working together feels right.

There’s no pressure to commit — you remain in control throughout.

Even reaching this page is a step forward.

Volunteering

I volunteer one day a week at Open Road, Basildon (a local drug and alcohol service) where I offer counselling sessions for free to people at various points in their recovery. I believe that everybody should be able to access mental health therapy and counselling services regardless of their financial position.
